Black Panther Massage was built on a simple idea: that effective, professional massage therapy should be accessible to everyone. We’re based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, and we’re genuinely passionate about getting you out of pain and back to doing what matters to you.
From the moment you get in touch, our aim is to make you feel as comfortable and welcome as possible - because great therapy starts before you even show up!
You won’t get a one-size-fits-all treatment plan here - we take the time to actually listen, no rushing you through. We treat you as an individual - not just the next booking. This is a judgement-free space, and you’re always welcome here.
Meet Gavin
Gavin is a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist with a background that’s anything but ordinary - having been an engineer, a carer and even a lifeguard! He built Black Panther Massage because he genuinely wanted to help people, and believes everybody deserves access to proper therapy.
His approach is straightforward: listen, assess, treat. Whether you’re dealing with a long-standing injury, post-event soreness, or tension that’s been building for months, Gavin works with your body, not against it. No unnecessary complexity, just honest, skilled hands-on care.
When he’s not in the treatment room, you’ll find him lifting weights in the gym, walking the dogs, or watching far too much Stargate!
Meet Laura
Laura keeps Black Panther Massage running behind the scenes - and she’s very good at it! With a professional background in legal technology and document automation, she brings a level of organisation and attention to detail that means your booking and experience are always in safe hands.
From managing appointments to keeping you updated on socials, Laura’s usually the friendly message (or voice!) you’ll hear from first - making sure everything’s sorted before you even step through the door.
Why “Black Panther” Massage?
The name isn’t a marketing decision - it’s personal. Black Panther Massage is a tribute to Gavin’s late grandfather Pete, who ran a mobile karaoke company called Black Panther Disco. It’s a small way of keeping his memory alive in something built with the same spirit he brought to everything he did.
